OEM follows a sufficiently complete customer design. ODM starts from a proven subsystem or platform and adapts it. Joint development is appropriate when architecture and IP are created by both teams. The quotation must state which model applies.
Mechanical drawings, electrical interfaces, firmware, application software, BOM revisions, accessories, packaging and inspection limits should have identifiable versions before a production lot is released.
Inspection should be tied to the actual risk: navigation, docking, charging, payload handling, emergency behavior, connectivity, burn-in or destination-market checks as applicable.
A lower-cost replacement is not automatically equivalent. Critical component substitutions should trigger documented review and, where needed, regression testing.

MOQ depends on platform reuse, custom tooling, supplier pack sizes, certification scope and the level of customization. A pilot lot can often be separated from the repeat-order MOQ so production risks are resolved before a larger commitment.
Yes, subject to a design and documentation review. We first identify missing drawings, test limits, supplier dependencies and production risks, then define the work needed before a controlled build.
Branding can include enclosure colors, graphics, user-interface elements, packaging and documentation. New tooling or structural changes are quoted separately from cosmetic configuration.
Ownership depends on the project model and contract. Background IP, customer-supplied IP, newly created project IP, software licenses and manufacturing files should be identified before development starts.
